ABOUT ME

My name is Sarah Elliot and I was born in Gateshead and I have lived in the North East of England virtually all of my life.

I was diagnosed with dsylexia at the age of ten and I turned to writing fanfiction as a means of practicing my spelling and language skills and very quickly it turned into a passion that I simply could not refuse to stop doing.

After graduating from Northumbria University with a BA in Media Production, I took my love of writing to Swansea University and did an MA in Media and Creative writing which saw me expand my skills, and lead to me having three plays performed by the Swansea Theatre Group Flullen as part of their Lunchtime Theatre productions.

I took a gap year and went to America as a Camp Councillor with Camp Thunderbird and then came back with a fresh determination to work hard and get my show on the road.

Several long years later, after a series of jobs that kept throwing me curve balls, I finally settled myself down to start sending off my stories to be published and my first book, A Simple Wish was offically published in 2014 by Pegasus.

Since then I have been working on my Amethyst trilogy and started promoting myself at conventions and the reaction has been brilliant and I fully intend to keep on going with it all. I currently still live at home, in Northumberland but I have a good relatonship with my parents and access to a park right out side of my house which is great territory for taking the dog for a walk and also for getting inspired for my stories when I am feeling less inclined.
